Established in 1825 Bluffton is the southernmost county situated on the coast of South Carolina. Due to the growth and popularity of Hilton Head Island Bluffton became the natural destination for developments to build their communities with more space and less restrictions. In a relatively short amount of time Bluffton has grown from a one square mile town to controlling the development of approximately 50 square miles of future development just a few miles from the heart of the town.
Although Bluffton is just 12 miles from Hilton Head it has an unmistakable charm of its own. Bluffton is known for it’s friendly southern hospitality and its rich history. The downtown Bluffton area is a unique mix of old homes, budding artists, rare antiques, and locally owned restaurants. Outside of the downtown area Bluffton has grown by leaps and bounds and contains all the comforts of living in a big town in a relatively small setting.
